WHAT TO EXPECT

MORE THAN ART-creative experiences designed to invite you to let go, explore freely, release the pressure of perfection, and create something unexpected.

Before the workshop, you'll send me a favorite photo or meaningful image.

When you arrive, your image will already be transferred onto a canvas and waiting for you. Photo transfers are beautifully imperfect by nature, so you'll begin with something that's already a little unexpected.

Perfect.

Because perfection isn't the goal—possibility is.

First Things First...

We'll start with a short introduction to the process, materials, and techniques, along with plenty of time to ask questions before everyone jumps in.

Then the exploring begins.

Welcome to the Creative Playground

  • Paint will end up on your hands (and maybe your clothes).

  • You'll cut, layer, glue, paint, collage, mark, and experiment.

  • You'll discover tables overflowing with thoughtfully curated papers, textures, images, tools, and delightful little surprises.

  • You'll borrow ideas, ignore ideas, try something unexpected, and surprise yourself.

  • You'll be surrounded by people making completely different artwork from the exact same starting point.

  • I'll be there with gentle guidance whenever you want it—and happily step back whenever you don't.

Things That Will Probably Happen

Some people arrive with a detailed vision.

Some discover it halfway through.

Some change direction three or four times.

Every one of those paths is exactly right.

Your artwork has a way of telling you what it needs, if you're willing to listen.

There Is No Wrong Turn

This isn't about becoming an artist.

It's not about getting it right.

It's about giving yourself permission to play, explore, experiment, and create without worrying about the outcome.

The magic often happens somewhere between, "I'm not sure..." and "Oh...I love this."

Permission to Make a Mess

You'll leave with more than a finished piece.

You'll take home artwork that's layered with your story, your choices, and your own creative voice.

And maybe, just maybe, you'll leave with something even more valuable—a reminder that imperfection can be beautiful, curiosity is worth following, and creativity has been inside you all along.
